LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles company alleges that two businesses used its copyrighted textile design without authorization.
Urban Textile Inc. filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Baron Distributors Inc., Burlington Stores Inc. and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business. The plaintiff holds Baron Distributors Inc., Burlington Stores Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sold products bearing plaintiff's UB-4598 design without permission.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants from further infringing plaintiff's designs, award all profits and damages to the plaintiff, statutory damages, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief as the court deems just.
