LOS ANGELES – A Dallas woman and her guardian allege the woman remains in a grave medical condition because of the negligence of a Glendale riding stable.

Amanda C. Hinojos, through her guardian ad litem Mary Hinojos, filed a complaint on Nov. 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Rocken "P" Outfitters Inc., doing business as Rocken P. Stables, Circle K Horse Rentals, Circle K Stables and Diamond Bar Stables; and Does 1-10 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 21, Amanda C. Hinojos went on a horseback ride at the facilities of the defendants. She alleges she was given a horse that bolted without warning, causing injuries to the plaintiff. The suit states she remains in a 24-hour care facility as of the filing date.

The plaintiff holds Rocken "P" Outfitters Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to properly match plaintiff's skill level as a rider with an appropriate horse, failed to provide plaintiff and other guests with the necessary riding instruction, and failed to train the trail guides to pay attention to the riders.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants, damages, loss of earning capacity, costs of suit and further relief as the court deem just. She is represented by Ryan D. Saba and Momo E. Takahashi of Rosen & Saba LLP in Beverly Hills and David Glubok of Law Offices of David Glubok in Los Angeles.
