LOS ANGELES – A Huntington Beach company alleges a New York competitor unlawfully copied its shower drain covers.
California Faucets Inc. filed a complaint on Nov. 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Infinity Drain LTD alleging trademark infringement and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2008, California Faucets Inc. introduced a line of StyleDrain decorative shower drains and received several trade dress registrations for the iconic designs. It alleges its direct competitor, the defendant, has infringed those designs and caused plaintiff to suffer monetary damages.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant and damages. It is represented by Larry C. Russ and Nathan D. Meyer of Russ, August & Kabat in Los Angeles.
