LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County corporation alleges its copyrighted fabric design was copied without its permission.
City Prints LLC filed a complaint on Nov. 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against J Secret Inc., doing business as I.C.U., Zulily LLC and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 15, 2013, it applied for and received a United States copyright registration for the P11318 design. It alleges that the defendants copied the subject design without any consent from plaintiff.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in its favor, enjoin defendants from further infringement, award all profits, attorneys’ fees, interest, costs of action and further relief as the court deems proper.
