Paramount Equity Mortgage accused of not providing rest breaks

SACRAMENTO – A woman employed for a Placer County business has filed a class-action over labor code violations.

Denise Titus filed a complaint on behalf of herself and others similarly situated individuals on Feb. 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Paramount Equity Mortgage LLC and Does 1-100 alleging violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act and California labor codes.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was hired as a funder/closer in August 2015 at the defendant's Roseville office. The plaintiff holds Paramount Equity Mortgage LLC and Does 1-100 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provided itemized wage statements, meal breaks, overtime wages and rest breaks

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants; certify class action; actual, compensatory, special, and general damages; attorneys’ fees and costs; interest; and further relief as the court deems just. She is represented by William J. Gorham, Nicholas J. Scardigli, Robert J. Wasserman and Vladimir J. Kozina of Mayall Hurley PC in Stockton.
