California Raisin Growers Association Inc. alleges it is owed more than $500,000

FRESNO – A raisin growers association alleges a Fresno County individual failed to pay for fruit delivered.

California Raisin Growers Association Inc. filed a complaint on May 3 in the Fresno County Superior Court against David Nino, Sunshine Raisin Corp. and Does 1-10 alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in March, defendant Nino purchased from plaintiff 428.01 tons of raisins for a total amount of $506,409.10. As of May 1, 2017, the said principal amount allegedly remains due and owing. The plaintiff holds David Nino, Sunshine Raisin Corp. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly has failed and refused to pay for the raisins sold and delivered by plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendants in an amount not less than $506,409.10, plus late charges of $25,320.46 for the first 30 days, interest, costs of suit, attorneys' fees and such other just and proper relief.
