Law money 02

LOS ANGELES – A former employee for two Pasadena companies alleges that he was only paid straight time for overtime work.

Darcy Solomon, on behalf of himself and all others similarly situated, filed a complaint on May 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Team Adhoc LLC and East West Bank, alleging that the defendants violated the California Labor Code and the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that between September and December 2016, plaintiff was an hourly employee of the defendants and was paid $90 an hour. Solomon claims he and other employees regularly worked more than 12 hours in a day and sometimes worked seven days a week. Plaintiff alleges he was never paid overtime pay for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a workweek.

The plaintiffs holds Team Adhoc LLC and East West Bank responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay overtime compensation at the rates no less than one-and-one-half times the regular rate in excess of 40 hours in a workweek.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek award for all damages, including attorneys' fees, costs of suit, pre- and post-judgment interest and for such other and further relief as the court deems appropriate and just. He is represented by Aashish Y. Desai and Adrianne De Castro of Desai Law Firm PC in Costa Mesa.
