LOS ANGELES – A molecular biologist and biochemist residing in Shanghai, China alleges he was not listed as an inventor on three U.S. patents.
Degui Chen, Ph.D. filed a complaint on March 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California Western Division against Michael E. Jung, Ph.D. and Charles L. Sawyers, M.D., seeking corrective of inventorship on three U.S. patents.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that is an inventor of U.S. Patents ' 507; '689; and '159. He alleges he was not named as an inventor with the other five joint inventors.
The plaintiff seeks an order directing the director for patents of the United States Patent and Trademark Office to correct the three patents, award costs, expenses, and disbursements.
