Property & Casualty Insurance Co. alleges it is entitled to more than $25,000 for workers' comp claim

SAN FRANCISCO – An insurance company is seeking reimbursement for workers' compensation benefits it paid to a catering employee after a collision in San Francisco.

SAN FRANCISCO – An insurance company is seeking reimbursement for workers' compensation benefits it paid to a catering employee after a collision in San Francisco.

Property & Casualty Insurance Co. of Hartford filed a complaint on April 2 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Christopher Zafar and Does 1-25 seeking to recover workers' compensation benefits.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff insured Small Potatoes Catering and that on March 14, 2016, Nyeema Quiet, an employee of Small Potatoes, was injured when Zafar rear-ended her vehicle. The plaintiff alleges Quiet filed for and received benefits from her workers' compensation claim from the plaintiff in the amount of $25,160.98.

The plaintiff alleges pursuant to California Labor Code, it is entitled to reimbursement of the workers' compensation benefits paid.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendants for reimbursement of all amounts paid in benefits and other additional relief as the court may deem just. It is represented by Jenna L. Fischer-Reyes of Law Offices of John A. Hauser in Santa Ana.
