SAN FRANCISCO - A March 22 lawsuit in the San Francisco County Superior Court accuses a California electronic testing tool company after a faulty tester reportedly caused an electrocution at Chase Center.
The injured was plaintiff Thomas Grossner of Roseville, who says he had purchased several voltage detectors from Tinker & Rasor over the course of 2017 through 2019. On May 13, 2019, he was using a High Voltage Holiday Detector at Chase Center, when a product defect caused an electrical shock of 20,000 volts to the plaintiff, causing injuries that included paralysis, burns and blisters, chest pain and vascular damage, the suit says.
Tinker & Rasor and its San Bernardino office manager Christine Seal, who allegedly cleared the product to be sold to Grossner, are charged with strict product liability, negligence, breach of warranty and punitive damages.
Grossney is represented by Clayeo C. Arnold.
