Minor child alleges negligence of Valley Children's Hospital caused brain damage

FRESNO – A minor child through his guardian alleges the negligence of a physician and medical facility caused him injuries.

Jamison Gonzales, by and through his guardian ad litem Lindsay Brown, filed a complaint on June 8 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Vinod Bansal, M.D, Valley Children's Hospital and Does 1-100 alleging medical malpractice.

According to the complaint, Gonzales and his twin brother were born in March 2014 and taken to Valley Children's Hospital for care and treatment. The suit states the defendants were negligent in their treatment of Gonzales and that he has suffered catastrophic injuries, including permanent and irreversible brain damage, delayed gross motor skills, impaired mobility, vision impairment, and other catastrophic injuries as a result.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendants for general, economic and special damages; costs of suit; interest; and other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Moseley C. Collins III and John J. Kinney III of Moseley Collins Law in Folsom.
