Ford pickup has defects with suspension, Clovis couple claims

Lawsuits

FRESNO – A Clovis couple alleges that a pickup truck they purchased has defects and is revoking the acceptance of the sales contract.

Nicholas Hand and Ashley Hand filed a complaint on Aug. 20 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Ford Motor Co. alleging violation of the Song-Beverly Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs purchased a used 2015 Ford F150 pickup that was manufactured by the defendant in January 2016. They allege the vehicle was delivered to them with serious defects and nonconformities to warranty, including suspension, exterior, structural, brakes, engine and transmission defects.

The plaintiffs hold Ford Motor Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to fully repair plaintiffs' vehicle after a number of attempts.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant for general, special and actual damages; rescission of the purchase contract; diminution in value; interest; attorney's fees; costs of suit; and further relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Steve Mikhov and Amy Morse of Knight Law Group LLP in Los Angeles.
